title The Film as urban experience: The Fellini´s Roma [O Filme enquanto experiência urbana: A Roma fragmentária de Fellini]
source SIGraDi 2007 - [Proceedings of the 11th Iberoamerican Congress of Digital Graphics] México D.F. - México 23-25 October 2007, pp. 448-451
summary This research is done in the field of studies about the potential of imaginal images in the unveiling of the multiple space-time alternances which make up our urban experience and is supported by phenomenological perspective of the imagination and Bachelard´s poetical image (1957,60) in the analysis do filme “Roma de Fellini”(1972). Of cinema as a possibility of highlighting the city and its geometry in a fragmentary and spectacular form. With the intention of arriving at a better dialogue among new languages and styles of life with the intention of opening new possibilities of a better understanding of the urban.

title Digital Design Tools vs. Sketching in Design
source Predicting the Future [25th eCAADe Conference Proceedings / ISBN 978-0-9541183-6-5] Frankfurt am Main (Germany) 26-29 September 2007, pp. 843-848
summary This paper reports on and updates a research project which seeks to address two fundamental questions. Does the current breed of user friendly 3D CAAD software really enhance our design abilities when compared to more traditional techniques like sketching and how might the use of such software inform how we teach the new generation of architectural students. It furthermore summarizes the results of a web questionnaire that tries to find out the current main tools in the early design phases amongst architectural practitioners in two European countries.

title Hypermedial i-dentity: New media, new audiences, new identities? [I-dentidad hipermedial: Nuevos medios, nuevas audiencias, ¿nuevas identidades?]
source SIGraDi 2007 - [Proceedings of the 11th Iberoamerican Congress of Digital Graphics] México D.F. - México 23-25 October 2007, pp. 19-23
summary Today, everything is entertainment: the free time, the leisure and the mediatic and hypermediatic consumption. The incursion in the era of the service and the information, has given foot to the configuration of cultural industries whose market is centered in symbolic consumption and the mediation carried out by the intercultural hybridation derived from the capitalist tendency to expand the market of intangible goods. This symbolic market has given to origin the birth of certain tendencies and generations that are transforming, in a radical way, the mass media.

title Morphology and Topology, the new digital media-based composition methods [Morfología y topología, nuevos procesos compositivos con medios digitales]
source SIGraDi 2007 - [Proceedings of the 11th Iberoamerican Congress of Digital Graphics] México D.F. - México 23-25 October 2007, pp. 112-116
summary This paper develops the topic of morphological generation of artificial landscapes using digital media. Current trends in landscape composition link architectural style to ground topography; buildings are not simply placed on the land, instead, they emerge from it, generating alternative morphology landscapes, or so-called “topographic landscapes” that emerge from the massive incorporation of computer technology in the design process, and are supported by the complex organization of topologic geometry. There has been a change from the classical method of architectural composition, in which rather than linking diverse shapes together in a static layout, dynamic actions inspired by the landscape are linked instead.

title Exploring the Interaction of Rules with Shapes and Their Boundaries
source CAADRIA 2007 [Proceedings of the 12th International Conference on Computer Aided Architectural Design Research in Asia] Nanjing (China) 19-21 April 2007
summary The interaction of rules and the generation and interaction of shapes and their boundaries is explored. The effects on the design processes especially in the shape grammar formalism are examined.
