summary This article aims to discuss the 3D concrete printing technology for use in construction, which promises to generate economic gains and benefits for the environment. It also search for a potential impact of this technology over the current architecture design and construction methods, assessing its viability opposite the context of the research and practical construction in Brazil. From the partial results of the analysis, listed out to potential and difficulties related to the implementation of this technology.

summary This paper aims to highlight the educational potential of the association between the architectural typology of temporary pavilions and digital fabrication process for architecture and urban planning courses. The pavilion theme is being increasingly exploited in various universities in the world, in order to work new paradigms of computational algorithmic architecture and new construction process, through digital fabrication labs. In this sense, these exercises can become a privileged and highly effective learning tool, due the impact of the integrated experience between creating (design), construction (to build) and experience (to appropriate the spaces).

summary This paper presents partial results of a research dedicated to the architectural typology of temporary pavilions, focused in research pavilions developed by academic research groups. The relevance of these pavilions is evidenced for the development of new paradigms of design, as well as of the constructive possibilities offered by advanced technologies of digital manufacturing, like robotic arms. These innovative processes have been transported from the academy to the professional branch, but still in a timely application. However, they have already had a profound impact on the academic research institutions, adding a significant theoretical/ practical contribution to the contemporary architectural field.

summary Access to data capable of describing existing territorial dynamics is an indispensable condition to elaborate effective urban regulations, notwithstanding current difficulties to get reliable sources of information. Such difficulties are related to several factors. In terms of the technical obstacles, occasions where the data arrangement obstructs a sufficient cognition level by the user are recurrent. Information Design has helped to overcome such obstacles by using Geographic Information Systems. The article uses such techniques to adapt land prices data in Fortaleza in order to analyze the behavior of real estate market after the approval of a restrictive zoning regulation (ZEIS).
