During the development of the product was used Solid Works software to model instrument, which was subsequently embodied in a 3D printer. The article presents the iterative development that involves: test, analyze and improve the prototypes. As a result the article presents a bass model with some requirements such as innovation, customization, acoustics and ergonomics

summary The advent of BIM in the AECO industry brings with it profound transformations in the design process. These changes are necessary to meet the requirements of the current project market and make the traditional design process into an integrated design process. Although the advantages obtained from this practice, new job functions and standardization of communication must be embraced to ensure its success. This work presents the conception of the integrated project in BIM with its practices related to the PDP and identifies the evolution of the norms of aid to the realization of projects in BIM in Brazil.

summary This paper describes a design experiment of a reception desk. Automated procedures were used in the process: a parametric design generated the form and connections. Computer models and physical prototypes were produced in order to develop construction details and preview results. We compared this exercise with the method used to design Aviva Stadium in Dublin. It was possible to conclude that the use of a generative method along with automated procedures did not restrict creativity, allowing the quick exploration of multiple design alternatives.

summary Seeking to investigate, in a preliminary way, the possibilities of applied research in architectural language through parametric software and rapid prototyping. However, the search for logic and analog references to the creative process of architectural projects to emerge from such research solutions adopted by nature. A class of protozoa called radiolarian, class “Radiolaria (HAECKEL, 2005), presents radial skeletons that form hexagonal patterns, enabling large-scale conceptual application. Objective is to connect different systems, such that in the inter-relationship of specific propositions, resulting in a mediation between these systems, they are: the Biomimicry, Digital Manufacturing, Architecture.

summary Kirimurê is as Brazilian Indian Tupinambás called the Baia de Todos os Santos. Around the bay developed a region with significant agricultural production, at a time Salvador was the main export port in the Southern Hemisphere. This economic strength and its export potential were greatly due to the saveiro, a small wooden vessel with sail propulsion, which dominated these waters for a long time. Testimony of the Bahia’s history, they had great influence in the culture of Bahia. Currently, these vessels are disappearing and with them the traditional techniques of shipbuilding, intangible heritage, held in memory of the master builders. This paper presents an experience in developing the architectural shape of a complex building using geometric modeling, to house this cultural heritage.

summary The Brazilian Performance Standard (NBR 15.575/2013 – Housing Buildings – Performance) is changing the design process of residential buildings, imposing new acoustic performance criteria. In this Context, the present paper proposes the programming of a Revit plug-in for verifying sound insulation of walls between environments, collecting information of the building’s model from a parameter database, calculating values of the elements’ sound reduction index and allowing to ponder constructive systems’ performance. The application aims to amplify productivity of designers and to provide greater control over technological solutions, assisting in the compliance with performance criteria.

summary Beyond importance of the visual communication in a consumption society and of the necessity of perfect integration of this with the urban landscape, in the Brazil, cities searched to create regulation norms with the objective to organize some types of external visual communication. This study it shows the digital visualization with application of specific norms through the digital graphical resources. The previous visualization is important to test the viability and to foresee the result in the urban landscape. With norms' application, the visual communication of the marks will be more appreciated and the buildings will have their architecture respected.

summary This report examines the application of physical models and digital ones as tools in the design of reinforced concrete shells. The development of computational processes and consequently the process of analyzing the structure as the finite element method allows more complex forms to be applied in architectural projects. The research demonstrates the potential of this tool, through the analysis of contemporary projects such as the “Memorial da America Latina” of Oscar Niemeyer, with modeling of the structure in ANSYS.

summary This paper presents a discussion about the ephemeral architecture, the insertion of the Digital Fabrication in the design process and its contribution to the transformation of these spaces. The paper presents an experience of the use of this technology in the production of some Businesses Fairs. In the case reported, the Digital Fabrication allowed greater freedom in the generation of form, facilitating the visualization of the project as a whole and consequently aiding in the compatibility, anticipating possible failures before fabrication and assembly.

summary This paper describes a process of development of three-dimensional virtual models to be viewed in augmented reality through mobile devices.  It considers the concept of ubiquitous tourism applied to the tourist rout “the path to the jerked beef farms of Pelotas”, RS. Thus, overlapping models of the buildings related to the history of the jerked beef farms, over the real environment, respond to a specific demand of the place. Most of these places do not allow access or demand a virtual reconstruction.

summary Daylighting is an important part of designing sustainably. Daylighting is the use of natural light for primary interior illumination. This reduces our need for artificial light within the space, thus reducing internal heat gain and energy use. Direct sunlight, once it enters the building, is not only light but heat, and that additional heat will need to be taken into account in your energy analysis." While Autodesk Revit Architecture 2010 (ARA) itself cannot perform the actual analysis, there are some ways to do that. This papper focuses on the study of parametric modeling using a BIM tool for daylighting analysis. This paper presents the first part of the building method of LUME, a plug-in maked whit C# programming language in Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 and ARA Software Developer Kit (SDK) package. The script accepts as its input a standard three dimensional model of building opening and his position on space.

This paper contributes to discussion about PM and DF in the production of architectural components.

summary The objective of the present paper is to propose a design solution database to help students learn basic landscape design concepts and help them apply this new knowledge by using examples developed by an experienced designer. The system is based on an ontology that contains classes of design concepts and design instances. Beyond the structure to search for design concepts and precedents, it’s also proposed an interactive module implemented in a parametric design tool. This module allows students generate and insert automatically different parametric components, such as a group of trees, bushes, sculptures, in a digital model. The system efficacy was verified in a workshop performed with undergraduate students.
