title “La Tacita de Plata”: Aplicación de herramientas de RA a un Proyecto de Interpretación Patrimonial
source SiGraDi 2014 [Proceedings of the 18th Conference of the Iberoamerican Society of Digital Graphics - ISBN: 978-9974-99-655-7] Uruguay - Montevideo 12 - 14 November 2014, pp. 483-486
summary This article represents a summary of the final work to achieve the degree of “Master in Design, Management and Project for International Cooperation” of UEMC University. It consists of a project for heritage visualization of modern architecture in Montevideo, called “La tacita de plata”. It main objective is to contribute to the knowledge of this valuable heritage by residents and visitors, and highlight its value as a source and reflection of a collective imagination that survives in our day and that we are heirs.

title Posicionamiento de Objetos en el Espacio: un Caso de Aplicación Concreta (Positioning of Objects in Space: An Actual Application Case)
source SIGraDi’2000 - Construindo (n)o espacio digital (constructing the digital Space) [4th SIGRADI Conference Proceedings / ISBN 85-88027-02-X] Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) 25-28 september 2000, pp. 209-211
summary In the first part of the paper theoretical aspects are briefly discussed, followed by an equally brief description of special procedures. In the second part, working in a concrete problem, a case study about public libraries interior design is exposed to illustrate positioning procedures. Computer graphics techniques are used in the generation of a large range of possible locations of typical library furniture. The results are governed by sets of rules, which are introduced following functional and dimensional needs. The case of public libraries is intended to be just one example of the general system directed to locate objects in the space. The discussion of different alternatives is accompanied by drawings showing geometrical aspects in correspondence with the specifical case of the small public libraries reading rooms.

title Identificación de Recursos Digitales de Visualización para la Aplicación de un Modelo de Evaluación en el Taller [Identification of Digital Visualization Resources for Implementation of an Assessment Model in the Studio Course]
source SiGraDi 2014 [Proceedings of the 18th Conference of the Iberoamerican Society of Digital Graphics - ISBN: 978-9974-99-655-7] Uruguay - Montevideo 12 - 14 November 2014, pp. 586-590
summary OM model for assessment helps to improve teaching practice and student learning in studio courses. A visualization artifact is under development, which addresses need to manage qualitative and quantitative data generated. The aim of present phase is evaluation of different visualization resources. A review of several taxonomies of visualization resources is undertaken. From high-level perspective, design model taxonomy is suitable, as well as mixed methods, related to research by design approach. From low-level taxonomy, evolution of the display modes used in successive prototypes, from Cartesian structure diagrams to radial structure diagrams are analyzed, through iterations of heuristic evaluation.

title Prototipo automatizado para generar alternativas de densificación para la ciudad de maracaibo [An Automated Prototype to Generate Alternatives of Densification for the City of Maracaibo]
source 2da Conferencia Venezolana sobre Aplicación de Computadores en Arquitectura, Maracaibo (Venezuela) december 2001, pp. 174-183
summary Base upon the model considered by the PDUL (1994), this work proposes and automated prototype that help the architects and urban planners to conceive judgments of value through the manipulation of proposed variables, to elaborate alternatives for different situations needing the increment of the urban density. This document considers two parts of the proposal: The written document, which is the theorical basement of the system; and the prototype, developed to prove the performance of the system. The prototype, on the other hand, is constituted by the "generation of alternatives" and the "help", the theoretical and conceptual support.

title Uso de Patrones de diseño aplicados a grafos espaciales en redes de ingeniería y arquitectura [Use of Design Patterns Applied to Space Graphs in Networks of Ingeneering and Architecture]
source 2da Conferencia Venezolana sobre Aplicación de Computadores en Arquitectura, Maracaibo (Venezuela) december 2001, pp. 116-125
summary This article describes a design pattern, based on the concept of Spatial Graph that facilitates the development of systems of information (SIG) oriented to objects. The patternís purpose is to provide a solution reusable to the problem of the representation, manipulation and visualization of nets of services in conventional SIG. The reuses of the pattern allows that in a net of services each node or connection is defined as a space object, this adds realism to the manipulation and visualization of the same one. The pattern simplifies the design of applications providing structures of design reusable in a great variety of domains.
