Environmental Design with Huge Landscape in Real-Time Simulation System: Real-time Simulation System to Real Project
CAADRIA 2002 [Proceedings of the 7th International Conference on Computer Aided Architectural Design Research in Asia / ISBN 983-2473-42-X] Cyberjaya (Malaysia) 18–20 April 2002, pp. 265-272
This paper is the culmination of a period of studying and participating in certain real project on environmental design with realtime simulation system application. The focus of this paper is on understanding that a generally real-time simulation system, can render a complex scene that consisted by a huge landscape model with millions polygons and building models with thousands details. It is also more than just a collection of unorganized techniques. This paper must dual with issues of scene elements management as a front end that efficiently provide the ability to process complex and moving objects in a physically realistic way. We establish a platform providing good support for the environmental designers.
