summary For the purpose of automated generation of room-layouts for dwelling units, all feasible plans that are generated during the process of generation of room-layouts are to be evaluated. Selection of a layout will be done based on some mathematical models for satisfaction values of users. In this paper we have shown models to obtain satisfaction values of dwellers primarily based on the opinion of experts who have experience in successfully designing or evaluating dwelling units as a part of mass housing in Kolkata region.
