title Sculptor - A Tool for Intuitive Architectural Design
source Sixth International Conference on Computer-Aided Architectural Design Futures [ISBN 9971-62-423-0] Singapore, 24-26 September 1995, pp. 323-330
summary To manage the complexity in three-dimensional modelling and design in architecture, new approaches and methods are needed in computer based design tools. This paper identifies key factors in designing with computers and presents a computer program called 'Sculptor' for intuitive and direct virtual modelling in architecture. The program focuses on new methods for design in the early stages such as conceptual and abstract designs for massing studies.

title Supporting Design Studio Learning: An investigation into design communication in computer-supported collaboration
source CSCL’99, Stanford, December 1999, pp. 328-332
summary Earlier studies suggest that benefits may be found in chat line communication rather than high bandwidth video-conferencing conditions when considering collaborative design learning. This paper draws together studies that look at this conjecture and concludes that chat line collaboration reduces fixation in problem space exploration. This encourages the participants to explore design opportunities in a different way than graphical or video based communication.

title Meta-Zoning Logistics
doi https://doi.org/10.52842/conf.acadia.2011.x.g8x
source Parametricism (SPC) ACADIA Regional 2011 Conference Proceedings
summary To the architect, city zoning ordinances that pertain to site setbacks and building envelope profiles are often viewed as restrictive and introduced late in the design process. Conversely, to the urban planner, building design that is more individual, varied, and/or formally sculptural can be viewed as having a negative impact on the urban fabric. Is there a way to create a healthy dialogue between these seemingly polarizing disciplines with a common language?

source Predicting the Future [25th eCAADe Conference Proceedings / ISBN 978-0-9541183-6-5] Frankfurt am Main (Germany) 26-29 September 2007, pp. 655-661
summary Combining CAD and GPS in architecture is a challenging task. Both technologies have not much in common. While GPS is used for mapping, CAD is used for modeling and virtual constructing. The request to design an application, the AmbiViewer, which can be used as design tool in an outdoor environment, brought the technologies together. This paper gives an overview about the GPS-technology and the integration into the modeling software.).

doi https://doi.org/10.52842/conf.ecaade.2001.311
source Architectural Information Management [19th eCAADe Conference Proceedings / ISBN 0-9523687-8-1] Helsinki (Finland) 29-31 August 2001, pp. 311-316
summary The authors discuss asynchronous communication and its tool in design collaboration on the Web. This paper focuses on using Internet-connected mobile phone in design collaboration between distributed members especially in similar time zone, and a support system which improves interaction through asynchronous communication, is examined.
