summary The presentation is part of an investigation engaged in the analysis of form in some master building or landmark of the modern age. This istitution is going to set up a file system available for students and the teachers.

The VILLA SAVOYE of Le Corbusier, built in 1930 at Poissy, France, is one of the most important files in the system because it has an enormous amount of documents that explain the architectural context and meaning.

title Representação do Patrimônio e gráficos conceituais: residências na Serra Gaúcha, Brasil [Representation of heritage and concept maps: houses in Serra Gaucha, Brazil]
source SIGraDi 2010_Proceedings of the 14th Congress of the Iberoamerican Society of Digital Graphics, pp. Bogotá, Colombia, November 17-19, 2010, pp. 355-357
summary This paper studies houses built between 1930 and 1970 in southern Brazil. It is a large collection of projects, which has been systematized for publishing on a website and in digital media. The aim is to discuss the form of organization and systematization of this collection, which involved the construction of conceptual digital graphics. It emphasized the adoption of the concepts of type and model in the organization of the collection, which required a formal abstraction of the objects. The construction of conceptual graphics proved to be an effective tool in the process of abstraction. Moreover, such graphics have become more didactic material, enabling a better understanding of the universe studied.

source SIGraDi 2010_Proceedings of the 14th Congress of the Iberoamerican Society of Digital Graphics, pp. Bogotá, Colombia, November 17-19, 2010, pp. 351-354
summary This article presents the results of a study that is being carried out at the University of Caxias do Sul, Brazil. The goal of the study is to publicize a collection of the modern architecture in southern Brazil through interactive media on a web portal. This study presents the development of a digital media to publicize a collection composed of single - family houses, for a total of two - hundred - and - fifteen residences that are organized by city and decade, from 1930 to 1970. The buildings of each decade are analyzed in terms of their language and compositional features. It also presents brief biographies of the architects, engineers and builders involved in the construction.

title 1931 Arte e Revolução: Lúcio Costa e a Reforma da Escola de Belas Artes (1931 Art and Revolution: Lúcio Costa and the School of Fine Arts)
source SIGraDi 2003 - [Proceedings of the 7th Iberoamerican Congress of Digital Graphics] Rosario Argentina 5-7 november 2003
summary The cd-rom 1931 Art and Revolution: Lucio Costa and the School of Fine Arts has been produced from newspaper excerpts published between November 1930 and October 1931, registering Lúcio Costa's term as director of the ENBA, the national school of Fine Arts, and the social-cultural context at the time. The transfer of the collected information to digital media aims to spread the knowledge of the selected events, making it possible for researchers to study the subject anywhere. This project represents a segment of the effort of our group, whose wider objective is to generate material and knowledge associated with the intellectual history of Brazilian architecture and urbanism, from the 19th and 20th centuries.

title VISUALIZING ARCHITECTURAL THEORY: A CASE-STUDY ON DIGITAL REPRESENTATION
source CAADRIA 2006 [Proceedings of the 11th International Conference on Computer Aided Architectural Design Research in Asia] Kumamoto (Japan) March 30th - April 2nd 2006, 405-411
doi https://doi.org/10.52842/conf.caadria.2006.x.k5m
summary This paper aims to analyze interactive multimedia and visualization techniques for architectural theory publications. Unfortunately, the available literature about multimedia, visualization, hypertext and related systems in this area is not consistent. The paper reviews the features of a research project outcome, which investigates an iconic building of the late 1930’s in Brazil. It examines the differences and similarities between a hypertext/multimedia system – a CD-ROM – with a comparable non-hypertext or non-computer product – a book – that deals with a specific subject: Architectural Theory.

title Esplendores virtuales, alternativas reales [ Splendours Virtual; Real Alternatives]
source SIGraDi 2009 - Proceedings of the 13th Congress of the Iberoamerican Society of Digital Graphics, Sao Paulo, Brazil, November 16-18, 2009
summary Methods for parametric design and virtual modeling have reached a remarkable degree of development, but their separation from real construction is increasing. Fuller's Dymaxion Bathroom failed, around 1930, due to union opposition. The restaurant Georges (Paris, 2000) designed by MacFarlante and Jakob had to be built, like other recent projects, by a boat manufacturing company. We are at an unprecedented crossroads. It is proposed that part of the current research design would be redirected, although it seems unfeasible, to the reorganization of the construction industry.

title Augmented Reality Visualization of the Agache Plan
source Gomez, P and Braida, F (eds.), Designing Possibilities - Proceedings of the XXV International Conference of the Ibero-American Society of Digital Graphics (SIGraDi 2021), Online, 8 - 12 November 2021, pp. 699–710
summary This article describes a study on the 1930 Extension – Remodeling – Beautification Plan of the city of Rio de Janeiro, elaborated by Alfred Agache but only partially built, and its influences on the city. The research is divided in two stages: the first comprises the examination of primary and secondary sources in order to obtain a better understanding of the Plan, including the geolocation of the information gathered; the second involves the elaboration of this information in a 3D model and its visualization in two different Augmented Reality systems for public consultation by students and researchers.

title Between text and hypertext: a case in architectural theory
source SIGraDi 2005 - [Proceedings of the 9th Iberoamerican Congress of Digital Graphics] Lima - Peru 21-24 november 2005, vol. 2, pp. 788-792
summary This paper aims to analyze interactive multimedia and visualization techniques for architectural theory publications. Unfortunately, the available literature about multimedia, visualization, hypertext and related systems in this area is not consistent. The majority of articles present descriptions of ideas, designs, and prototype or working systems claimed to be advantageous on the basis of the author’s intuition and lacking useful evaluation on their utility and ease of use for their intended users.
