title Gamificaç?o na educaç?o patrimonial: Escola Álvaro Gui?o (SP-BR) [Gamification in patrimonial education: Escola Álvaro Gui?o (SP-BR)]
source SIGraDi 2016 [Proceedings of the 20th Conference of the Iberoamerican Society of Digital Graphics - ISBN: 978-956-7051-86-1] Argentina, Buenos Aires 9 - 11 November 2016, pp.860-864
summary This article integrates works developed in the Núcleo de Apoio em Pesquisa em Estudos de Linguagem em Arquitetura e Cidade (N.elac) of the Instituto de Arquitetura e Urbanismo da Universidade de S?o Paulo, and aims to evaluate the contribution of the game as an auxiliary instrument to the patrimonial education (Horta, Grunberg & Monteiro, 1999). Games present themselves as one of the constitutive elements of culture, and many are the authors that discuss the theme. Between them, Huizinga, 2000; Callois, 1990 and Broug?re, 2004. The developed game is an interactive narrative inside a building listed as herritage by the Conselho Municipal de Defesa do Patrimônio Histórico, Arquitetônico, Artístico e Turístico (CONDESPHAASC): the Escola Estadual Dr. Álvaro Gui?o.

title Computer Applications in Architectural Conservation
source From Research to Practice [ACADIA Conference Proceedings] Big Sky (Montana - USA) 4-6 October 1990, pp. 187-199
doi https://doi.org/10.52842/conf.acadia.1990.187
summary The Center for Architectural Conservation, College of Architecture, Georgia Institute of Technology, is considered to be one of the leading exponents of computer-aided databases for the management of buildings of historical merit in the U.S. Through their involvement with the National Parks Service and other clients in North America, the Center has developed considerable expertise in the creation of computerized fabric and condition survey methods, and in the compilation of databases for components and materials used in the rehabilitation and conservation arena. In addition, exploratory research is currently being undertaken in the development of "expert systems" in the area of building diagnostics. This paper gives a brief historical background of the Center for Architectural Conservation, comments on the early establishment of the Center, and reviews the application of an expert system in the area of window diagnostic.

title Transformations in the educational system, Influence of the Digital Graph [Transformaciones en el sistema educacional, influencia de la Gráfica Digital]
source SIGraDi 2007 - [Proceedings of the 11th Iberoamerican Congress of Digital Graphics] México D.F. - México 23-25 October 2007, pp. 182-186
summary The educative proposal was based on the summary attained through experiences piled up during the 2 last semester courses, 2/2006-1/2007. This proposal corresponds to a mix of methodology (by personal attendance / by internet). Founding on the Theory of the Game (Eric Berne 1960) and on different theories such as: Multiple intelligences (Haward Gardner 1983), Emotional Intelligence (Peter Salowey and John Mayer 1990, Goleman 1998), Social Intelligence (Goleman 2006), the Triarchy of Intelligence (Stemberg, R.J. 1985, 1997), “the hand of the human power”, it´s established that the power of the voice, that of the imagination, the reward, the commitment and association produce a significant increase of the productivity (Rosabeth Moss Kanter 2000), aside from the constructive processes of the knowledge (new pedagogical concepts constructivista of Ormrod J.E. 2003 and Tim O´Reilly 2004).

summary The Project Missions - Graphical Computation, recoups in a graphical and digital the pictures of the Church and the Reduction of São Miguel Arcanjo/RS/Brasil, allowing to the public a virtual stroll through the set at the time of its foundation in 1687. Initiate in 1990, the design refers the appropriation and implementation of the new computational technologies. The 3D model allows the dynamic visualization of the set, through aerial sights and walkthrough animations into the main streets and the inward of the central ship of the church. For the generation of the model, it was followed the principles of the architectural composition to decompose the parts, to be shaped, defining the architectural and composition elements. This COMPACT DISC, is one of the some midias of the Design Missions - Graphical Computation. In this proposal, the music was developed especially for the COMPACT DISC, looks for to reflect the poetical aspect of the interaction between light, shadow, of the inwards and exteriors, attenuating the technology of a virtual environment. In the integration between the art and the technology its recovered virtually, the poetical way, the memory of one of the icons of the identity of the Rio Grande do Sul, with the objective to keep alive, for the new generations, a patrimony that practically in ruins would have the souvenir of its lost real picture in the time.

title Cognitive modeling of the creative process in architecture by means of the object-oriented programming technique [Modelagem cognitiva do processo criativo em arquitetura por meio da técnica de programação orientada a objetos]
source SIGraDi 2007 - [Proceedings of the 11th Iberoamerican Congress of Digital Graphics] México D.F. - México 23-25 October 2007, pp. 275-279
summary The aim of this research was to investigate the relationship between the object-oriented paradigm and the design process in architecture. The work was inspired by Mitchell´s (1990) comparison between architectural types and classes of objects. An analogy was set between the development of classes and the structuring of design problems based on architectural typologies. The method was then compared to Alexander´s (1964) in terms of levels of abstraction. Two classes were implemented, illustrating the application of the object-oriented paradigm in architectural design. The method developed is expected to help architects develop a new understanding of the design process.
