summary Flexo.In-Form. is a prototype derived from an experimental exercise to verify the structural effort of active flexion. Bending behavior is used as a design tool applied to structures that base their geometry on the elastic deformation of flat elements. Through "Integrative Processes" and a "Performance-Oriented Design Approach", the operational relationship between active mechanical mechanisms, material performance and geometric design has been enhanced. The proposed geometric and material optimization process extends the experiences with physical models of complex shapes through computational numerical calculation and its possibilities of simulation and digital evaluation.

summary In recent years, more and more large-scale terminal buildings have emerged. In the design and construction of the terminal, how to increase the non-aeronautical revenue of the terminal has become one of the difficulties and priorities. The commercial vitality is one of the important factors influencing non-aeronautical revenue of the terminal. There is a correlation between passenger flows and commercial space vitality. So it is necessary to analyze the impact of pedestrian flows on commercial space vitality. The commercial space vitality can be evaluated by the vision dwell time on the shop surfaces. This paper focused on the relationship between passenger flows and commercial space vitality at the terminal. We modeled and simulated the domestic mixed-flow hall of Baiyun airport terminal 2 in Massmotion. After the pedestrian 3D vision field simulation, Vision Time Maps were exported to assess the commercial space vitality. After comparing the survey results with simulation results, we can conclude that the mixing of multiple pedestrian flows can improve the commercial space vitality of the airport terminal.

summary The relationship of different performance objects may be very complicated that designers can't guarantee the improvement of one object don't affect the others. Multi-objective optimization algorithms provide Pareto optimal design solutions, but because of the nonlinearity introduced by the objective functions, the relationships in the objective space do not extend to the decision variable space and vice versa. Based on the design of building blocks and west facade in a practical project, the paper put forward a visualized method for optimization process of building performance, and combine the multi-objective optimization algorithm with the visualization of fitness landscape, so that architects can easily obtain the knowledge of complex relationships between building performance and building parameters. It is more conducive to obtain a design scheme which can balance the requirements of appearance and performance at the same time, and achieve the ultimate goal of improving the efficiency of design.

summary The dynamics of COVID-19 spread have been studied from an epidemiological perspective, at city, country, and global scales (Rabajante, 2020, Ma, 2020, and Giuliani et al., 2020), although after two years of the pandemic we know that viruses spread mostly through built environments. This study is part of the Spatiotemporal Modeling of COVID-19 spread in buildings research (Gomez, Hadi, and Kemenova et al., 2020 and 2021), which proposes a multidimensional model that integrates spatial configurations, temporal use of spaces, and virus characteristics into one multidimensional model. This paper presents a specific branch of this model that analyzes the behavioral parameters, such as vaccination, masking, and mRNA booster rates, and compares them to reducing room occupancy. We focused on human behavior, specifically human interactions within six feet. We utilized the multipurpose simulation software, AnyLogic, to quantify individual exposure to the virus, in the high school building by Perkins and Will. The results show how the most effective solution, reducing the occupancy rates or redesigning layouts, being the most impractical one, is as effective as 80% of the population getting a third boost.

summary 3D concrete printing (3DCP) has been successfully and widely applied in the fields of civil structure, infrastructure, architectural decoration etc.,due to its unique advantages of automation and flexibility, and has shown great potential for development. One of the key steps in the execution of 3DCP is the toolpath planning process. However, 3DCP typically utilize the flowable composite materials which changes with time, and it is easy to induce interface joints or filling defects due to uneven path distribution when constructing the irregularshaped construction. To solve the problem of printing path planning in 3DCP, this paper proposes tool-path planning based on mapping method, which integrates the rheology and necessary continuity of concrete materials into the printing process parameters, improves the mutual adaptability of printing process and material characteristics, improves the continuity of printing, the compactness of filling, and then ensures the stability and durability of printing structure.
