summary |
Designs can be described by the morphism between two descriptor sets: decisions and performances. Characterized designs are those in which both decisions and their consequent performances are articulated. Pareto optimization is discussed as a means of structuring performances and decisions. The induction algorithm ID3 is presented as a means of abstracting general relationships from sets of characterized designs. An example from the domain of building design is presented |
