summary |
In an architectural design session, suppose design objects such as doors, windows and rooms can look after themselves, what kind of recommendations would a designer get? What is the nature of a design environment that facilitates such interactions? Where would a design object acquire the knowledge that allows it to interact intelligently? How would such localized recommendations be aggregated to support global design decisions made by the designer? This paper investigates these questions through the notion of objects as agents in design. |
