summary |
The ESG_Pav project demonstrates the advantages of computer aided design, collaboration, and production technologies. The parti-concept for this project was the design and programming of a parametrically driven architecture that could be designed by “users” of a web based configurator. The underlying technology relies on a logical and parametric geometry structure which was developed, programmed and implemented by the postgraduate students of the CAADNDS study program. The pavilion has since been the instigation of a number of projects that use this concept of the ‘digital production chain’. This methodology is conceived for every stage of the work; from the design to the production of architecture, and still allows for the creation of highly individualized solutions within the mind-set of mass-production methods. |
