summary |
The Lab for Architecture is an Internet based information service for Architecture. It was initiated by students of The University of Technology in Eindhoven in 1993. LAVA has three important objectives. 1) Providing pointers to interesting information about architecture. 2) Providing new information to the Internet, for example: student projects, discussions, faculty research and course material. 3) Exploring the possibilities of network-based media by initiating special projects, for example cooperationís between different Universities. The last part of this paper tries to indicate some of the possible influences network-based media can have on education.
