summary |
In order to make the computer media get involved into the process of evolving design rather than merely serve as a presenting tool, this study aims to propose a computer-aided design (CAD) tool that could show a great capacity of evolving design and be particularly utilized throughout the early conceptual phase. How to accomplish this objective will start from taking advantage of the cognitive point of view regarding emergent subshapes to assisting designers in reconfigurating/restructuring shapes and figures computationally. Ultimately, by means of using genetic algorithm, this research could conduct a CAD tool, facilitating designers in the very early conceptual phase. In other words, this tool could be employed by designers in generating subshapes or reconfigurating shapes and subshapes during the process of developing concepts. |
