summary |
The paper reports on the development and experimental implementation of a virtual instructional environment specially designed for training Texan and Mexican students of architecture towards the handling of a Texan/Mexican transnational design market. Such an instructional environment is hereby described in terms of its conceptual validity, its instructional value, its instrumental nature, and an actual implementation that combines Internet resources and a dedicated T-1 compressed video conferencing hook-up for synchronous and asynchronous events. As a matter of conclusion, the paper ends by making reference to a number of areas where further research and development are needed. |
