In this paper, we present a GIS based approach to evaluate the visual perception quality of mountain skyline. Through computer generated analytical maps and perspectives, this tool can assist planners to define the visual reservation scopes for mountain skyline within urban area. It also offers concrete data supporting for appropriate strategy in building layout or site planning to preserve valuable natural skyline scenery. |
