summary |
The issue of monument protection and conservation not incidentally has become a part of the scope of interests of the Center for Computer Aided Architectural Design. As a research-educational division of the School of Architecture, Warsaw University of Technology, we are a partner providing advisory and implementation services. Employment of a large computer system such as Intergraph's MGE will constitute a considerable improvement for Conservation Offices in the introduction, storage, updating and accessibility of historical maps, photographs, information about information, geological and topological, network, roads, sites, CAD drawings and 3D models. Another important effect will be that of setting a direction for activities of other offices interested in increasing their work efficiency through computerization.
