summary |
This research explores the convergence of parametric design and community participatory processes in the development of on-reserve, culturally appropriate, Indigenous housing in Canada. The paper describes the ongoing crisis of Indigenous housing in Canada and discusses the potential of digital design technologies to foster collaborative solutions. A major contribution is the development of a parametric tool in partnership with Siksika Nation. This tool aims to enhance community engagement in creating housing solutions that are not only culturally appropriate but responsive to the unique needs of on-reserve living. |
