summary |
In his seminal work "the poetics of Space", Gaston Bachelard explored how space shapes our perceptions of the world. Personal space is a vital aspect of this discussion as it not only influences our behavior but also reflects our personality. The formation of personal space can be a manifestation of our identity, and therefore, understanding its correlation with personality is crucial. The present study focuses on assessing and comparing different personal spaces, specifically bedrooms, by analyzing their spatial arrangement and characteristics. To achieve this, the study employs photogrammetry to scan the bedrooms and create 3D point clouds for analysis. The aesthetic outcome of this research is a digital symbiosis of these 3D scanned bedrooms, which reveals the connections among them. By examining personal spaces through a scientific lens, we hope to deepen our understanding of how the physical environment reflects our inner selves. |
