summary This paper proposes that the increasing weight of computer techniques in all the design operations is going to transform the way as design itself is defined. The discussion is organized around the concept of description as complementary concept of the definition of things. It is shown how descriptions can substitute for definitions when they include new elements, which transform the original concept. On that basis it is argued that the new description means can lead to transform the way as architecture itself is looked at.
