People expect to profit from more efficient and enhanced collaboration using computer and internet technology. Unfortunately, certain behavioral dimensions existing in the face-to-face work environment, such as team spirit, gestures, atmosphere and artifacts, can be greatly compromised. In this paper, we propose to use a database framework to facilitate the realization of groupware to support team awareness. We will take a look at the development of our framework through two case studies and a discussion of our findings. |
