summary |
In this paper, a method based on UAV photogrammetry is proposed to estimate the solar energy potential of the building surface. This methodology goes from the acquired aerial images captured by the camera mounted on UAV. 3D model of the urban context in study area was extracted from the aerial images using SFM and MVS algorithms, which could be directly applied to the Ladybug plugin as analysis objects. Estimates of solar radiation are expressed by means of data visualization. The results showed that the UAV photogrammetry could demonstrate the geometry and texture of residential buildings precisely and the solar radiation simulation results showed significant spatial and temporal variations in solar radiation on residential buildings. |
