This paper constructs a lexicon of tacit intentionalities around tools and materials in computational design and fabrication contexts through a close study of dynamic molds. Drawing on historical, theoretical, and practice-based research we develop methods for reading, teaching, and designing with intelligence in computational design contexts in concert with the tacit information provided by tools and materials. |
