summary |
The project presented in this paper is part of a research project that investigates the reuse of waste cardboard as a building material for low-cost housing. The study combines craft-based production and digital-based tools. It implements a shape grammar formalism as a tool for structuring the design of a modular, customized house, including the generation of fabrication instructions for some building parts. In this paper, we present an implementation of the grammar for designing the floor plan of a single-story house. |
