summary |
To depict characteristics of historical buildings, digital archives must display visual information about structures and their construction. This study defines the components used for three-dimensional (3D) models of framework construction. Framework construction has heretofore portrayed structures through animation using VHS or Hi-Vision video. This paper describes a method to facilitate exhibition through interactive simulation using animation and real-time images. Furthermore, a Tablet MR can be used as an effective simulation tool for studying historical buildings in on-site models. For education about historical wooden-framework architecture, increased interactive potential according to users’ needs will be increasingly necessary. |
