summary |
This research presents the results of experiments of techniques on heritage preservation using lighting computation in virtual environment. In this research, three traditional houses built in the early 1900s were re-constructed based on the captured data that included texturing and lighting. A thorough study on the lighting solution and its impact to the design aspects of photorealism and issues discovered in processing the digital data will be emphasized. This includes complexity of the modeling, rendering and reality, and real-time lighting techniques. This research will suggest effective lighting techniques for re-construction of heritage preservation in virtual environment for architectural purposes. |
