Parametric methods from different modeling paradigms were proposed to students in a design studio. The influence of these methods on creativity was studied using qualitative methodology. ‘Generation’ was found to stimulate ‘abundance’ of ideas and to lead to different evolution and flexibility, as well as to higher ‘engagement’ in the design process. |
