summary |
This paper is concerned with the evaluation of VR applications using the construction domain as an example. The investigation has developed a new experimental methodology and an enabling tool “ASSET to (1)determine the effectiveness of different representations of buildings –2D drawings and 3D Real-Time models- and to (2) assess the solutions proposed by the design team –architects and engineers. A first VR model of a building has been produced as a vehicle for evaluating the methodology and AS-SET. A first cycle of the research has been completed; the first experiment has been carried out, the data has been collected and analysed and, the results have been produced |
