The objective of this paper is to present the scope and the contents of an agent for supporting and simulating location decisions of firms. An application of one of its features, which is related to finding a location for a given firm, is developed here as an illustration of the approach. We can conclude that the agent is able to perform an evaluation of suitable locations in space given a set of firm’s characteristics or requirements. Other features may also be derived, for example, finding firms that meet the environmental characteristics and also an attempt to simulate the allocation of firms, seeking a location, to the set of available locations. |
