summary |
We consider the problem of automating the recoloring of designs whose “originals” are defined using color look-up tables. Given a digital image , we assume for each pixel of there exists an integer index such that . If is a color look-up table of size , we say image is colored by if each pixel is assigned color . Given a map from to itself, we recolor by assigning to each pixel the color . We are able to evolve the recoloring maps by representing them as -tuples. We automate their evolution by applying multi-objective optimization. Examples of recolorings of designs that were originally in color and originally in black and white are given. Keywords. Color look-up table, image recoloring, genetic algorithm, evolutionary multiobjective optimization. |
