For the communication of spatial information with regard to the design and construction of large scale urban infrastructure projects several visualization methods and technologies have been developed. The paper discusses two different trends in relevant technologies: a) those that use visualization to facilitate communication of construction planning information between architects, engineers, contractors, the public and other interested parties, and b) technologies that provide real time information on the conditions on the construction site. |
