summary |
This paper is concerned with the effectiveness of the use of Virtual Reality (VR) to inform the early design stages of construction projects. The investigation has developed a new experimental methodology for assessing building designs and an enabling tool “ASSET”. A first VR model of a building has been produced as a vehicle for evaluating the methodology and ASSET and, incidentally, influencing the design of the building. An experi-ment has been completed to assess if design constraints have been fulfilled. |
