The XML is a perfect tool for scientific data management and analyses, because of its potential as a language for representation of structured graphical information stored in object-relational databases. The paper discusses the development process of the architectural database, defined by the XML Schema definitions (RuralXML). The database is being created in order to describe Polish traditional rural architecture for scientific investigations of architectural, rural and spatial planning fields. |
