The objective of this research is the artificial distinction between skin and structure through the development of an envelope System that integrates structural and Environmental performances. The envelope will be highlighted as a filter mediating micro and macro environmental conditions. The starting point will be the observation of a natural/ biological example in which the distinction between structure and skin is dissolved, using it in a new instrumental way. Furthermore, it will be developed a new generative System through the application of parametric design. The new design will be constructed through the use of CNC machinery (CAD-CAM).
