summary Contemporary building technologies have the potential to contribute to regional building practices. With a focus on the cultural context in British Columbia, Canada, this paper explores how CNC timber framing technology can influence the generation of a regional building culture in the Pacific Northwest. Student projects serve as examples of creative applications of CNC timber framing technology sensitive to the complex conditions of our surroundings.
