summary |
This study was carried out under the Theory, Epistemology, and Philosophy principles, and is part of the PAAVI Project: The Architectural Design Process in Interactive Virtual Environments. The study presents part of the theory reference landmark that furnishes support in methodology and process approaches to the empirical research groundwork. The study also addresses the dimensions of architectural space and its representation in cyberspace. Comparisons are made between: static space/dynamic space – mathematical laws/architectural principles – interaction during the infographic process and formal manipulation of software – shape/form/function/space/void – distances/effects/rendering. The basic hypothesis is that the decisions made while solving architectural problems demand in-depth thought and ponderation. This is necessary in the light of the project theory, using the computer tools, electronic media, and concepts that structure different software. These software operations interfere in and interact with conception, appropriation, use and the esthetics of space and architectural form. [Full paper in Portuguese] |
