This paper expects to concur for the study of the relationship between technology, knowledge and representation. It is based on previous studies on architecture, art and technology on modernity and its development, as well as studies about scale in architectural design. In despite of the fact that scale can be technically considered indifferent for computer aided design, I wish to discuss how digital tools intercede in the process of clipping that selecting a specific scale eventually implies, sustaining that for architectural design, the concept of scale has to do both with representation and knowledge of reality. |
