This paper covers an emerging trend in the current architecture practice, so called “Digital Design”, based on a new methodology with an unique theoretical framework, supported by new technologies and able to produce a new class of objects with a high level of complexity asking if this new trend is a legitimate manifestation of the “zeitgeist” able to face other demands which can also be defined as part of the spirit of that age like social exclusion, environmental problems, etc, specially connected with the reality of taking off countries like Brazil, or if it is not more than a sort of transitory fashion of a spectacular architecture. |
