A world of intense and quick changes has led the society to the Information and Knowledge Age. The use of information technologies leads to deep changes and new processes. Systems and organizations must be prepared for the growing amount and speed of information. The main objective of this work is the application of the computer simulation tools CAD/CAE to help decision-making in architecture and engineering projects, specifically metal structure projects. This work presents the application of the finite element method-based software Abaqus/CAE to analyze and propose possible project solutions to the case study of a metal structure which covers a food court in a shopping mall. |
