Computers are very common drawing tools in university design studios, but their potential as training tools in arts and design has not been explored in depth. Therefore, there is little understanding of how to incorporate digital and virtual media as learning tools in design studios. This paper describes the use of training programs in an experimental design course at the university level. This experiment was carried out as part of PhD research performed at the Faculty of Architecture and Arts at the Universidad de los Andes in Merida, Venezuela. |
