This article presents the Integrated Project I class at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul which covers design of signage systems and urban furniture of the undergraduate courses of product design and visual design. This work presents the objectives of the discipline, as well as the methodology, applications and importance of physical and virtual models in the development process of signage and urban furniture, beginning with the stages of creation to development, detailing and implementation.
