summary |
This article presents the description and evaluation of a tangible interface to facilitate a collaborative work process. It starts with the concept of ambient display, which refers to the presentation of information in space or in an object through subtle changes. After describing the developed interface, some observations from the operation of the device are presented. We conclude that ambient displays should not be used as replacements to conventional tools, but instead, as complementary elements, and that it is also important to ensure their application as a method to restore a lost balance between tangible predispositions and the center of attention. |
