The research described in this paper is part of a larger on-going project called "Emerg.cities4all" that proposes a generative computer-aided planning system for housing for low-income populations using shape grammars. This paper presents the preliminary research results of a group of four master students who proposed to develop a grammar of ready-made housing for humanized living based in three informal settlements case studies. The results of this research are based on the assumption that it is possible to generate modular, adaptable and affordable ready-made housing for humanized living solutions design, supported by a computational generation tool. |
