| summary |
Ephemeral art, post-autonomus, unruly, out of the frame or undefined, are the categories which characterize the visual arts today. In that context, we address as case study the work of the Argentinian visual artist Abel Monasterolo. Along with the analysis of their work, we propose an urban intervention in "Ciudad Universitaria", within the framework of SIGRADI 2011. It consists to perform a frieze from the point, the line and the plane. It proposes a visual narrative of "the big bang of artistic creation". This narrative incorporates experiences of augmented culture, like a palimpsest, paradigmatic works of design history. It also includes a scanned self-portrait of the artist. The work of art has a performative character and offers the spectator to participate in strategic moments of the artistic discourse. |
