This article aims to present and analyze contributions that the digital tools of virtual prototyping can bring to the production of architecture. More specifically, this paper will address the use of simulation capabilities in the production process of architecture adopted by Foster and Partners. This article is a product of a master degree research that concludes that the inclusion of these technologies in design practice has a transformative role in the way we design and the outcome of the architectural object, resulting in changes in decision-making practices, leading the creative process towards the new perspectives that technological advances provide. |
