Modular Coordination and Building Information Modeling emerge as potential strategies to improve the AEC industry, considering that both enhance the integration and communication among the different professionals involved in the project. This study aims to investigate the association between BIM and Modular Coordination, through the development of an application with demonstration purposes and the registration of its methodology. The paper presents how the process of customizing a BIM application was developed and its result: a plug-in designed to automatically generate the layout of ceramic bricks for rationalized masonry, plus the extraction of 2D technical drawings and quantitative lists. |
