3D digital models allow the visualization of both the historical and morphological evolution of a building - combined with its environment and transformations - as well as, its survey, record and pre-view of the impact of future interventions. Furthermore, the employment of digital technology offers a great advance in the field of cultural good’s documentation by including not only tangible issues but also iconographic elements, materials information and constructive pathology survey, to mention a few. This kind of models had become an open documentary system, and they should be considered essential in every architectural heritage conservation´s project. |
