This article presents the partial results of the ongoing investigations carried out for a research in the Universidade Federal do Ceará in collaboration with the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul as part of the formulation of a strategy to insert digital fabrication as a means of innovation in brazilian companies through the use of a local instance of a global network of laboratories specialized in robotized production, the Fab Labs.
