summary |
The origamic architecture consists of a paper architecture technique developed by Masahiro Chatani, which suggests the compilation of three other techniques: origami (fold), Kirigami (cut) and pop-up (mounting). The application of these techniques altogether results in a self-mounted volumetric model made of one sheet of paper. The aim of this paper is to show and explore a method to create 3D representations of architecture buildings as well as sketches through these techniques. The use of CAD systems and laser cut to materialize the models is also discussed. |
